A legend in the South, THE GRAND BAND has been pleasing corporate and social clients for over 45 years and 4,000+ performance dates. Fun Fun Fun! Glenn Normand, the bandleader, came from New Orleans, so the music had to be exciting. Since the band formed to handle the weddings and conventions at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, the act has since been asked to play and perform in over 100 cities of 8 states.
The band is versatile, having played from 3 members to 13. For smaller events, a 6 member band is usually recommended…and for very special events, the larger group. Almost everyone sings and most play multiple instruments, but they'll make you the star of the show with their audience participation and interaction. From wedding receptions to business parties to fund raising galas, this is the act to book. The horns add the “frosting on the cake”. Guests appreciate the wide variety song list - from yesteryear to today. Jazzy “mingle music” to start, standards and light rock for dinner dance...then PARTY with pop, rock and Motown the rest of the night.
If you are looking for an act that satisfies the most demanding audiences, this is it. Formal, business or casual dress, minimal to extreme sound and lighting, along with flexible setup requirements make working with this act very easy and enjoyable.
This band can play Non-Stop through your event and books in the $3500-$6000 range.

A truly unique showband-this group really plays it all. They can start with jazz and dixieland (mingle music) for the first part of an event; then kick it up with Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, and Jimmy Buffett to get the dancing started. Once the formalities have taken place, the band kicks into high energy and rocks the room with “Uptown Funk” “Happy” and other “dance” music.
Note: These are not “music videos” like most bands make-using studio recordings, then lip syncing on a stage to make them look good. These are actual and live videos taken by party guests.
